and that’s not a typo! We have every reason to grin from ear to ear because my nephew recently passed the ECE Board exams and he is the first among his cousins (they are16 altogether) to graduate and pass the board. I’ve seen him grow up and I am proud of his achievements. Right now, he is preparing for the oath-taking ceremony which will be held at the Manila Hotel. I personally want him to feel pampered and be able to look his best for that day. Actually, we call him “Vain boy” because he is so conscious about his looks and like all young adults he has issues with zits as well. Maybe, I can gift him with a day at the derma or the salon, get a facial or some kind of acne treatment so that he can “bare” his face with confidence and grin his widest grin when he takes his oath… minus the zits… Congrats, Vain Boy!

Saturday, April 5th, 2008Help your "heart"…
Thursday, April 3rd, 2008Did you know that sudden cardiac arrest doesn’t always happen without warning? Some researchers have discovered in certain studies that some patients displayed symptoms for as long as 120 minutes before Congestive Heart Failure occurs. That’s why it is important to recognize the signs and the symptoms of heart attacks especially if your loved one is predisposed to having one, meaning, the risks or likelihood of him/her having one is higher. If that is the case then it is extremely important to know what goes on inside cardiac arrest and how to administer CPR especially within the crucial 4 minute window from the moment the attack occurs especially if emergency medical help is not immediately available. Usually, if the patient is not revived sooner than that, his chances of a normal recovery are slimmer or worse case scenario he might not survive.
My dad suffered a cardiac arrest in the hospital (it still hurts a lot just to recall it) and it lasted for 6 minutes before they could revive him. He did not survive the night. He just waited for me to get to him before he passed on… (;_;)
So friends, be informed, learn what you can and don’t forget to hug all those you “heart”.
