The End

Home / The End

Finally, a post from me. After many months of not being able to post on my own blog because I was doing so many other sites, I finally get to “write” again. Right here. And it feels darn good, I must say. To write for writing’s sake. So allow me to blabber a bit about random thoughts that might not make sense. It’s been a while.

It’s a rainy day. The kind of day that makes you want to stay in bed and stay under the sheets forever. Kinda nice but rather unusual for December. Listening to the gentle pitter patter of raindrops outside my window is like listening to teardrops cascading slowly to the earth reminding me of both joy and pain, unfortunately, this Christmas season.

A colleague of mine lost her home in the Iligan and CDO floods. A dear  friend has a very sick father who needs an operation right away. Abandoned children left to themselves, rejected by their own mother. Real tears. Real people. Real needs that leave a tight knot in your chest.

And yet, I know that there can only be one answer to all this – a REAL GOD. A real God who catches all your tears…who understands your pain…who will never leave you nor forsake you. No matter what.

A real God who works through hearts, hands, and feet of people who are willing. Come, Oh Lord!

O come, O come, Emmanuel
And ransom captive Israel
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Rod of Jesse, free
Thine own from Satan’s tyranny
From depths of Hell Thy people save
And give them victory o’er the grave
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Day-Spring, come and cheer
Our spirits by Thine advent here
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night
And death’s dark shadows put to flight.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Key of David, come,
And open wide our heavenly home;
Make safe the way that leads on high,
And close the path to misery.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, O come, Thou Lord of might,
Who to Thy tribes, on Sinai’s height,
In ancient times did’st give the Law,
In cloud, and majesty and awe.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.
