Our lifestyle is ever evolving. As a family, we are transitioning into a more fast-paced routine because dh and I have taken on new things while we increase the extra-curricular activities of our kids. Ever since they started ballet class (yes, both my kids-boy and girl) and dh started teaching in De Lasalle and College of St. Benilde this term our schedules have become so volatile. We’ve had to work around time constraints and travel time considerations just to fit all these. It’s a good thing that we are a homeschooling family so we can take our “school on the go” anytime, anywhere. I’m not quite there yet but I think we will be needing a laptop or probably a netbook especially for the kids so that it’s a bit more convenient for all of us (especially mom and dad who have to lug around those books once the little hands get tired). In fact I checked out this Sony Vaio laptop at Buy.com to see if the specs will fit our needs. Hopefully, when the budget permits we will be able to have all the resources we need to support this lifestyle.

I’d like to say thanks to Kate Hadfield who dropped by my blog and brought to my attention that my comments section was not working. I recently updated my wordpress version and doing so necessitates one deactivating ALL wordpress plugins and reactivating after the upgrade. I think I made a mistake reactivating one comment plugin that made the site a little wonky. I fixed it up and hopefully all’s well with my site.
On to other things, I was chatting with my niece the other day (actually, graveyard time) and she wanted my opinion regarding a few cell phone models she was looking at. I liked one in particular because of the high memory capacity (it included a micro sd external memory aside from the phone memory) and it also had a usb slot which can be quite helpful when downloading stuff on your phone. I don’t know if she has decided already but hopefully she will find a unit that matchers her needs.
Another thing that I did was update my odesk account and I took a couple of tests as well. Thankfully, I was happy with the results. Check out my little badges below. Pretty neat, huh? I haven’t gotten any jobs over there yet but hopefully I will in the near future.
Be back for more in a bit!

Nope not 2.8 yet but there is wisdom in looking before you leap. Nevertheless the site has been updated from 2.5 somethin’-somethin’ to 2.6.5. I’m still trying to find out what’s new but special thanks to Ms. Amore for hosting my site and helping me update it. Salamat, sis!

This is sort of a late post but I just want to post it anyway. I don’t get to post my layouts in the galleries that much nowadays only if I have a few minutes to browse around. I posted this layout in my Catscrap gallery and I was surprised to know that Kate Hadfield left a comment that it was chosen to be featured in the Gallery Standouts blog. I was thrilled! GSO is one of my favorite go-to sites whenever I need a little inspiration fix and I’m well… for lack of a more eloquent word, I’m just plain happy! I took this photo at The Fort with my trusted Oly a couple of years ago. The lighting wasn’t that good during that time but thank God for digital cams and my 2gig compact flash memory, right? Unlimited deletes hahaha.
So here it is:

You can read about it here:

This layout is also featured in The Daily Scrapper Issue 08. Check out the back issues for lots of good reads.

Today, I started my ballet class for the regular school year. This is held on Wed and Fri, 5-6pm at the VCF-Sta Rosa Center, CJRS Parkview Bldg, Laguna Belair, Sta. Rosa Laguna. I had 3 of my summer workshop students return to class and 1 new student. 2 of my other students are still having schedule adjustments and will only be back after 2 weeks. I was assigned to a new room so I had to adjust with the size and the floor. For one, the floor was quite slippery and requires a significant amount of rosin. After one of my students slipped, I asked them to do the class barefoot. My new student was quite impressive. Inspite of the “aw’s”, she demonstrated natural turn out in prone “frog” position. I guess, the success of my work as a ballet teacher will be in whether or not these kids will be checking liporexall reviews in the future. With proper discipline and body consciousness instilled by ballet, they will likely live healthy and fit lives.
If you’re interested in getting your child into my classes call VCF Sta. Rosa (049) 541-2723, (049) 541-3013 or (049) 541-2536. Boys are welcome, and given free tuition.

Today, people seem to be getting confused messaging from media. Everyday we see all these commercials urging us to try a luscious dish from different restaurant chains. Yet we also get the impression that being skinny is the ideal. We see ads about products that allow us to indulge without the impact on the weight. Looking at a slimming pills review would not be uncommon nowadays as people desire to look thin sans the sweat. While I believe that we were not meant to have much fat in the body, it is also unwise to seek short cuts in reducing weight. Going through the process of training your body, develops the character necessary to sustain your achievement. It also ensures that your body will be fit for many more years to come.

I currently teach classes on Environmental Factors of Design for Multimedia Arts students at the De La Salle College of Saint Benilde in Manila. I have designed my classes to be a diverstisement from their normal regimen of their visual centric classes. I would describe my classes to encorporate physical theater, corporate training, art history/philosopy and industrial design on top of the scientific backbone I am expected to deliver. I push my students to be creators and producers instead of Ps3 players. To be the vanguard of the new renaissance instead of couch potatoes. Since my class is a science class, I direct my students to approach the scientific phenomenon as artists. As subjective explorers rather than objective observers. I do hope my approach will produce the next Leonardo da Vinci.

Yesterday, the weather was quite odd in the Manila area. Sporadic events of strong rain happened throughout the day. The odd thing was that it wwas gone in a minute or two. In the afternoon, we saw clouds swirling around just like those you see in satellite photos. At the seaside area of Manila, a friend told us that sea spray reached about 200m from the shoreline and that pedicab drivers pedalled hard to counter the wind. The night wasn’t ideal for any outdoor lighting sale, as heavy rains also afflicted the city. Truly odd weather these past few days. The rainy season came early. Classes had to suspended in a lot of schools. Truly, truly odd. This definitely is Climate Change. I just hope and pray that we respond properly to this in the long term

Last night, my wife was supposed to have a counseling session. Because of the odd weather and traffic, it got rescheduled to another date. As a result, we had some time to chat with a close friend and business associate about ballet. We talked about how to expand the ballet business and some things you find in sales training. I talked about how I wanted to drive physical conditioning done in Russian schools like the Vaganova academy. I was thinking about things like the kids hanging on overhead bars and making leg circles. Our friend thought that this couldn’t be pushed strongly since Filipino kids are not like the Russians who are so determined as far as ballet is concerned. I just wonder if that statement is valid. I’ve seen kids go through serious training regimen when preparing for competition in other sports. Why not ballet? I must admit that our friend has more experience than us but my curiosity has to be satisfied. Are Filipinos really wimpy? I hope to get some answers in the next few months.
